Think coast, think value, think Chesapeake Bay. Along the shores of the Chesapeake are wondrous stretches of sand and marsh. They are priceless resources that provide untold value in terms of fish and fishing, boating, bird watching, waterfront real estate, and tourism. And wetlands and dunes provide a critical buffer from storms and sea level rise.

Your ABC2 Storm Team is working to become your source for the best information on not just the weather, but also about Chesapeake Bay, the coast, and the environment. Thanks to a partnership with NOAA's Coastal Service Center in Charleston, SC and StormCenter Communications look to our Save Our Shores website for more information, weekly stories, new and exciting graphics, and watch your ABC2 Storm Team, for breaking weather and exciting stories about your environment.

We'll be bringing you timely information on where you can go to learn more about Chesapeake Bay and delve into its waters and coastal habitats. We'll provide links to important real-time observations that could affect you and show you where to go to find out what scientists are learning at the forefront of research. We'll tell you more about coastal hazards such as hurricanes, erosion, and storm surge and how you can be prepared. And we'll let you know what you can do to help reduce the impacts of pollution, invasive species, and wetland loss, which are harming our Bay. Stay tuned and click in, we want to help improve Chesapeake Bay and your life.
